Valley Memorial Homes was created in 1924 by the Bethesda Society, a group of compassionate women who chose to respond to the community's need to create a secure place for the elderly to live. They managed to raise $30,000 from businesses, churches and community members to build the original Almonte facility. The facility operated continuously until the 1997 flood.
Over the years we have seen an ever-expanding need in the community for nursing care. We have taken the challenge to meeting those needs by adding facilities and services that provide compassionate care and service from a Christian perspective.
Although our facilities and services have changed over the years, one thing remains the same, our steadfast commitment to provide quality care that enhances the dignity and independence of those we serve.
Generation after generation, we value the trust of families who have turned to Valley Memorial Homes to sustain or improve the quality of life of their loved ones.
